“New Media and Interpretive Trails at the San Francisco Presidio”
Based on your Milestone 2 or an alternative narrative that you will be assigned, create 3 sets of associated media, each comprising a short text, annotated image(s) and/or video (no longer than 1 minute), that refer to the theme of your starting narrative and a specific location in the study area.
On the basis of what you present in your Milestone 2, and how these narratives fit into the main project plan of Remixing El Presidio, you will use either the narrative of your Milestone 2 or an alternative narrative that you will be assigned to create 3 sets of associated media comprising the followng:
2. annotated and geo-located image(s) (just as you did in Milestone 1) and/or a video (no longer than 30 seconds), that refer to the theme of your starting narrative and a specific location in the study area, and that also refer (by their location or by their historic association or by their resonance in your imagination) closely to the associated text.
You can compile each of your sets of your text and media into a folder on your computers (make a separate folder for each set). You will hen be asked to enter the information about your assets and your database into a Portfolio database. Be ready to enter the following information:
1. Asset metadata
5. Geolocational information
Then, you will upload your images with descriptions to Flickr.
Finally, you will create a page in Sophie with the text, image, and video/audio embedded. This final step is an ideal; if you do not manage to get this far, please do not panic.
